One of the ways I look for new reading material is to check the various deals that are offered for Kindle and Audible books (these are my main ways of acquiring books).
- Linking to the book deal is NOT a book recommendation UNLESS my recommendation is clearly indicated.
- A book I am recommending will have a bold Recommended after it. I will never recommend books that I have not read and liked myself – no matter how impressive their awards or reviews.
- Sales can change at any time – so the sale may or may not be on by the time you click the link.
- Sometimes I have read the book I am linking to but most of the time I have not.
- I link to books that pique my interest – but that doesn’t mean that I have taken advantage of the deal myself.
- Books are selected on a purely personal basis and can vary widely day to day. This can be a bug or a feature but it is eclectic within a few genres.
- In addition to perusing Amazon and Audible myself, I do take advantage of others recommendations. The services I make use of currently are Early Book Deals and BookBub. But I also look for Book Lists from other sources that I find. Whenever I find a deal from some source other than Amazon or Audible Directly, I use that source’s link to direct any readers to the deal. I believe that sometimes these sites set it up so that they can benefit from the sale coming from them. I believe this will let them retain any credit that might be had.
- A “Book Deal” is any Kindle book less than $5.00 or any Audible book less than $7.00. This is a guideline not a rule so there may be exceptions from time to time.
